SLP Study Hub

1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

SLP Study Hub, operated by The Tech SLP LLC, provides online study and exam-preparation tools. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit the site, use the SLP Study Hub app for iPhone and Android, create an account, study, subscribe, contact support, or join an email list.

The service is for adult students and professionals. It is not a patient-record system and is not designed to receive protected health information.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to provide, improve, secure, and bill for the service.

  • Account information, including your name, email address, authentication identifiers, email verification status, and account preferences.
  • Study information, including placement quiz results, answers, scores, confidence ratings, study plans, progress, flashcard history, review activity, streaks, and settings.
  • Optional study-loop observations, including which recommendation was shown or chosen, session starts and completions, and study-question identifiers. Experience feedback you choose to submit includes a reason, optional rating, and optional note. Please do not include patient details or other sensitive personal information in feedback.
  • Subscription records, including Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan status, billing dates, transaction amounts, and payment status. SLP Study Hub does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
  • Refund request information, including the request date, the reason you provide in the required survey, your acknowledgment that a full refund ends paid access, eligibility-review details, and the result of the request.
  • Messages and email choices, including support requests, feedback, newsletter consent, unsubscribe status, and email delivery records.
  • Technical and usage information, including an anonymous browser identifier, session identifier, pages and features used, event times, browser and device details, approximate location derived from an IP address, and service logs.
  • Marketing attribution, including referring site, landing page, UTM values, campaign details, and advertising click identifiers such as fbclid or gclid when they appear in a link you use.

3. How We Collect Information

You provide information when you register, sign in, complete a placement quiz, purchase a subscription, choose email preferences, submit feedback, or contact support.

The site records study and technical information as you use its features. We may also receive account details from a sign-in provider such as Google and transaction information from Stripe.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • Create and secure your account, keep you signed in, and provide customer support.
  • Save progress, personalize study sessions, calculate performance, and synchronize eligible study data across devices.
  • Start and manage subscriptions, confirm payments, prevent fraud, and maintain financial records.
  • Review refund eligibility, process qualifying requests, respond to support needs, identify common problems, and improve the product using refund survey responses.
  • Deliver account, security, purchase, and service emails. We send study reminders and monthly notes only when you opt in, and each marketing email includes an unsubscribe option.
  • Measure site and campaign performance, understand feature use, improve reliability, and diagnose errors.
  • Protect the service, enforce our terms, comply with law, and respond to lawful requests.

5. Browser Storage, Cookies, and Similar Technology

SLP Study Hub uses local storage and session storage in your browser for account sessions, privacy choices, study settings, study progress, active sessions, anonymous and session identifiers, and campaign attribution. Some study information also syncs to Supabase when you use an account.

Local storage remains until the site or you remove it. Session storage usually clears when you close the browser tab. You can clear browser storage through your browser settings, but doing so may sign you out or remove study progress that has not synced.

Stripe, Supabase, Google, and Meta may use cookies or similar technology when their services load. Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel are on by default and stay off whenever you turn them off or your browser sends Global Privacy Control.

6. Analytics, Advertising, and Privacy Choices

SLP Study Hub records first-party product events in Supabase, such as page paths, study actions, anonymous and session identifiers, signed-in user ID, and campaign attribution. We use these records to understand the signup and study experience, detect problems, and measure product use.

Analytics are on by default. When they are on, the site may load Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. Those services may receive page visits, actions, conversion signals such as a signup that followed a campaign link, browser or device information, IP-derived location, campaign information, and advertising identifiers. We use them to measure campaign results and, for Meta, support targeted advertising.

When analytics are on and you create an account, a hashed (scrambled) copy of your email address and a hashed account identifier may be sent to Meta, from your browser and from our server, to measure sign-ups from ads, and turning analytics off or Global Privacy Control stops it.

We honor Global Privacy Control. If your browser or a browser extension sends that signal, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel stay off with no action from you.

To turn analytics off yourself, open “Privacy choices” in the footer of any page and select “Turn off.” The same panel has an “Allow” control to turn them back on. Your stored choice overrides both the default and the Global Privacy Control signal, applies from that point forward, and does not erase information a provider received before you changed it.

We do not sell your study data. Placement quiz results, answers, scores, and progress are not sent to Google or Meta.

The study-loop observations and experience feedback described above are stored in Supabase and reviewed in a private operator report to improve the study experience. These records are not sent to Google or Meta. Optional study-loop observations follow your analytics choice and Global Privacy Control. Submitting experience feedback is a separate action you choose, available even when optional observations are off.

7. The SLP Study Hub App for iPhone and Android

The SLP Study Hub app uses the same account as this site. This section explains what is different in the app. Where it differs from the sections about the website, this section describes the app.

  • What the app collects. Your email address, your name if you enter it or Sign in with Apple or Google shares it, your account ID, and your study activity: the questions you answer and the time and time zone of each answer, your confidence ratings, flashcard progress, weekly set results, and your study plan. We use this to run your account and keep your progress the same in the app and on the web.
  • No advertising or tracking. The app shows no advertising, does not use your device's advertising identifier, and does not include Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, a crash reporter, or any other analytics or tracking tool. “Privacy choices” on this site does not apply to the app, because the app has nothing to turn off.
  • The free placement quiz. The placement quiz works without an account. Its answers stay on your device and are added to your account when you sign in.
  • Stored on your device. The app keeps question sets, your sign-in session, your settings, study outlines you have opened, and audio guides you download on your device so they work offline. Answers you give offline are sent to your account when you reconnect.
  • Signing out and deleting. Signing out removes this account's study data from the device: saved questions, answers waiting to sync, cached outlines, downloaded audio, and the stored placement quiz result. If answers have not synced, the app says so before you confirm and tries once more to send them. Device preferences such as theme, haptics, reminder time, and audio speed stay. Deleting your account removes the same data from the device.
  • Notifications. If you turn on the daily study reminder, your phone schedules it. The app does not register your device for push notifications, and we do not run a push notification server for it.
  • Optional spoken answers. Audio Mode can use your microphone to recognize short answers. It asks for microphone and speech permission when you choose this feature. Your device's speech service, such as Apple or Google, may process the audio under that provider's policy. SLP Study Hub does not store your voice recording or send it to ElevenLabs. We save the answer choice and study result in the same way as a tapped answer. Listening stops when you pause, leave Audio Mode, or put the app in the background. You can use the answer buttons instead and revoke microphone permission in device settings. Older app versions use tapped answers.
  • Pages opened from the app. The privacy policy and terms open in a browser view of this site, in a version with no site navigation and no analytics, advertising or error-monitoring tools. Email support opens your email app.
  • Deleting your account. In the app, open Today, tap your initials to open Account, then choose Delete account. You can also follow the steps at slpstudyhub.com/delete-account. If you use Sign in with Apple and delete your account in the iPhone app, the app asks you to confirm with Apple, and we revoke the app's access to your Apple ID.
  • Service providers. The app sends account and study information to Supabase, which hosts our database and sign-in, and streams or downloads audio guides from Supabase storage. Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google are handled by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies.

8. Audio Study and Spoken Answers

Narrated questions use ElevenLabs to turn our authored study content into audio. We send the question or explanation text to ElevenLabs, not your name, email address, recording, or personal study response. Narration is stored privately and provided through temporary links to eligible signed-in students.

If you choose spoken answers on a supported browser, the browser asks for microphone permission. Its speech-recognition provider may process your voice under its own policy. SLP Study Hub uses the recognized words to select your answer; it does not store the recording or transcript. Answer buttons remain available. Stop listening, leave the session, or revoke microphone permission in browser settings to stop using this feature.

9. Service Providers and Other Disclosures

We disclose personal information to providers only for the services they perform, subject to their terms and our agreements. The providers used by SLP Study Hub may include:

  • Supabase for account authentication, database storage, server functions, and first-party analytics records.
  • Render for website hosting and delivery.
  • Stripe for checkout, recurring billing, refunds, fraud prevention, receipts, and the customer billing portal.
  • Resend for account, subscription, support, and opted-in study emails.
  • Google for optional sign-in and, while analytics are on, Google Analytics.
  • Apple for optional Sign in with Apple.
  • Meta for campaign measurement and targeted advertising while analytics are on.
  • Sentry for error, performance, and session diagnostics when error monitoring is enabled.
  • Anthropic when a signed-in user requests an on-demand personalized explanation or coaching response. The request may include question text, the selected answer, a topic, or a performance summary. Do not include patient information in a request.

10. Payment Methods and Digital Wallets

Stripe collects and processes payment credentials. Depending on your device, browser, location, and wallet setup, Stripe may offer cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or another eligible method.

Apple, Google, your bank, and the payment network handle information under their own privacy terms when you choose their services. SLP Study Hub receives transaction and subscription status, not your full card or wallet credential.

11. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not sell covered information as that term is defined by Nevada law.

Some privacy laws define “sharing” to include disclosing identifiers or internet activity for targeted advertising, even when no money changes hands. While the Meta Pixel is on, that activity may qualify as sharing or targeted advertising under those laws. To opt out through this site, open “Privacy choices” in the footer and select “Turn off,” or use a browser that sends Global Privacy Control.

We may also disclose information when you direct us to do so, when law requires it, to protect users or the service, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of business assets. A successor must handle personal information under applicable law.

12. Retention

We keep account and study information while your account remains active and as needed to provide the service. After a verified deletion request, we delete or de-identify eligible information unless we must retain it for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backup recovery, or legal obligations.

We keep payment, refund request, refund survey, and tax records for the period needed to administer transactions and meet financial, dispute, and legal obligations. We keep email consent and suppression records as needed to honor your communication choices. Support communications, security logs, and analytics records remain only while needed for their stated purposes or a legal requirement.

Third-party providers retain information under their settings and policies. Browser storage remains on your device until you clear it or use a site control that removes it.

13. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

You may ask to access, correct, export, or delete personal information associated with your account. You may also object to or opt out of targeted advertising where applicable. Send a request from the email address on your account to support@slpstudyhub.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.

You can update study and email preferences in account settings, unsubscribe from marketing emails through the link in each message, and turn analytics on or off through “Privacy choices” in the footer. We also honor Global Privacy Control sent by your browser.

Depending on where you live and whether the relevant law applies to SLP Study Hub, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information and to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. You may also have a right to appeal a denied request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

14. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, authentication, and service-provider safeguards intended to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee complete security.

If you believe your account or personal information may be at risk, change your password and contact support@slpstudyhub.com.

15. Children and Patient Information

SLP Study Hub is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Contact us if you believe a child under 13 provided personal information so we can review and delete it.

Do not enter a patient name, date of birth, record number, contact information, or other identifiable health information into SLP Study Hub. The service is an exam-preparation platform and is not designed as a HIPAA-compliant clinical record system.

16. Policy Changes

We may update this policy when our practices, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the new version and update the date above. We will provide additional notice for a material change when required by law.
